'Australian Locomotive Rosters' was first started by Brad Peadon and Daven Walters in 2000. It took the form of a book that we had published through Railmac. This website is compiled by Brad Peadon, in a joint effort with Bradly Coulter and Daven Walters. Recently we trialed some fleetlists on the main 'Semi Retired Foamer' website. Such was the popularity, we have decided to move them to their own site. Initially, we will be sticking with the SRF theme of covering locomotive types that were around in the 80s and 90s. This may be expanded in the future.

Now Open: 'Australian Locomotive Rosters' group. This will be a contributor only group to both share latest fleet changes and help us to update..

NSW: 81 class and older.
Queensland: 2800 class and older.
V/Line: G class and older.
South Australia: AN class and older.

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL GREEN/GOLD LIVERY

Website: Brad Peadon

Article: Bradly Coulter

The livery was introduced as a new corporate identity of Australian National in 1982, diverging away from the previous maroon and silver of the Commonwealth Railways.

First applications were applied to two 930 class (944 & 953), along with twelve AHGX grain hoppers, for a promotional release of the livery. A Brake Van (AVAY) was painted as well, however its scheme was reversed yellow with green (later a variation of this style became the AN Tasrail livery).

Over the next 17 years this scheme covered just under 300 locomotives, being replaced in 1997 following the sale of Australian National, out of Government control, to US company Genesee & Wyoming, who initially operated as Australian Southern Railroad.

The Green and Gold livery had many variations, some being -: roof colour being green or grey, bogie colour being yellow or black, side location of vertical yellow stripe with logo, and the number varied between classes.
